Positions
Kathrine Starup is specialised in protection, i.e. the protection of displaced and conflict-affected persons' rights, including mainstreaming protection in humanitarian programmes, development of analytical tools for "protection in practice", development of policies, standards and guidance on various protection issues, and training in protection, human rights and humanitarian principles. She has thorough experience within matters related to emergency response, return, reintegration, and protection programmes in Africa, Asia and the Western Balkan region.

She has years of experience with the following donors; the European Commission, ECHO, UNHCR and Danida (Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Key qualifications
Training and capacity development, over-all strategic planning and development, programme management and monitoring; programme design and planning; fund raising; programme administration, including budget control and accounts, and personnel management and recruitment.

Thorough knowledge of programmes related to in particular protection activities, livelihoods activities, social community development projects, income generation, and capacity building.
