Director, United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Nordic Office in Copenhagen

Anne Poulsen has an educational background in languages, European politics and journalism and has some 15 years of experience in the field of international affairs reporting from most of the world.

From 2004  - 2010, she was working for international and non-governmental organizations - for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Haiti and Nepal and for International Media Support (IMS) in Sudan, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Haiti.

She was appointed  Director for the WFP Nordic Office in Copenhagen in December 2010. Anne is a member of the Peace and Stabilization Response through the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has been deployed to Ukraine as OSCE election observer.

Lecture subjects include humanitarian emergency response, food-security, bridging humanitarian and development work, hunger and importance of nutrition.
